You expect excellence in your career. You can expect excellence in your physical performance. When your physical body aligns with your spirit and your mind, your potential is limitless.

Whether you are building this foundation for yourself, for your practice, or for your organization, I invite you to explore how we can partner together and make it happen.

My Story

In medical school I was trained to diagnose and treat illness. After listening to thousands of patients, the problem I kept seeing did not fit a diagnosis and could not be solved with a prescription. High achievers running on empty. Leaders stuck in unsustainable systems. People told they were medically "fine" who knew they could feel better than this, and had no real partner to guide them through the complexity.

Growing up in Japan showed me a different operating system. Health was something an entire culture cultivated, through daily group exercise from preschool onward and a deep belief in "eating for healing". It created a "flywheel of improvement", and it protected the freedom to pursue what mattered. Burnout and disconnection are not inevitable. An environment can be designed to hold people up.

That became the question I could not put down: how do you bring cultivation into the ambitious world of modern leadership? This isn't just a philosophy. We can build the systems to make it real.

A Proven Systems-Builder

As the inaugural Chief of Lifestyle Medicine and founding Medical Director for the Rush Weight Loss and Lifestyle Medicine program, my team and I designed and scaled the service from the ground up to a network of eight clinics. We have created a community that consistently achieves success across multiple metrics because we focus on foundations of health, connection, and sustainable change, not just short-term fixes.

I saw this same principle ignite a community when I led a rural aerobics class, which grew from two women to filling the high school gym. I have also seen it unite thousands of employees across global companies, from airlines to finance, around a new vision for their collective wellbeing and performance. Across all these experiences, the formula is the same. Transformation requires connecting foundational concepts with a shared language and practical strategies that work.

A period as Chief Medical Officer of Zero, the fasting app, showed me those same principles at consumer scale, and what people actually sustain when nobody is watching. One school gym, eight clinics, a company all-hands, and millions of phones all came down to the same few factors.

Three Ways In

Across all of this work, the same three patterns keep showing up. Some people do best on their own. Some do better belonging to a group, where the belonging is part of why it works. And some are trying to build something that will serve a far larger number of people. Me, us, everyone.

Why People Stay

Most people come to me about weight, or because their labs are moving the wrong way. Usually they have already tried. These are capable people who solve harder problems than this before lunch, and this is the one thing that will not budge.

What they stay for is what comes after. Recognizing themselves again, in the mirror and in the room. Thinking clearly through the decisions their work turns on. Keeping the pace they have built their life around, into the decades when other people start losing it. Having something left at the end of the day for the people they came home to. Picking up the thing they shelved ten years ago. Fun, which is the first thing to go and the last thing anyone thinks to ask about.

Weight is measurable, so it is where we start. It is almost never where people end up.

How We Work Together

Known as the integrated health strategist, this is where I am most useful. Some people need a strategist. Some need a guide who has built the thing before and knows where it breaks. Most need someone who stays past the strategy, through implementation, into the ordinary weeks when a plan either holds or falls apart.

Whether 1:1, as a practice, or across an organization, we move past the symptoms and build something that still works when I am no longer in the room.
